It’s Spring time y’all!
And you know what that means, pollen, pretty blooms, white dresses & more pollen!! Despite that yucky, yellow, devilish stuff I am loving this beautiful warm weather! It just makes me so happy! oh & BTW I hope y’all had the most lovely Easter weekend!
To celebrate Spring & of course relax a bit, we took a little trip with our sweet friends to good ole’ Savannah, Georgia! It was simply lovely. Savannah is the epitome of southern bliss with it’s beautiful live oaks & tree lined streets. I feel like everyone lives just a simpler life there ya know? Nobody is in a hurry and life just feels light & breezy. People walk everywhere and & it just seems like the perfect little southern town. I have lived in Georgia all of my life but have only passed through Savannah, I sure am glad we took the time to be tourist in our own state!
If you are a foodie Savannah is for you! we ate our weight in fried pickles & fried green tomatoes. It doesn’t get much better than southern soul food and you can bet we got our share of it. Thank goodness we were able to walk it off while exploring all that Savannah has to offer. Would y’all be interested in an eating your way through Savannah post? Let me know and I will be sure to make that happen! ( Spoiler alert, I don’t think you can have a bad meal in Savannah! Every meal was THAT good!) Anyway we enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again soon!
One of my favorite traditions of southern living is everyone dresses up, whether its to take a stroll around the city or have a night out on the town everyone is dressed to the nines! I grew up this way & thats really what molded me into becoming a fashion blogger. You can’t go to an SEC football game without looking like you are straight out of Sorority row. The ladies are dressed in heels & pearls while the men wear button downs & chinos. It’s just life around her and I have come to love it. There is nothing different about beautiful Savannah. I felt right at home wearing a dress most days to see all the sites. Not to mention it got pretty warm and I am just MUCH more comfortable in a dress. My fav new dress is from the Rachel Parcell Spring line. It’s called the Dutch Flutter Sleeve Dress & IT IS PERFECT( I am in a size Small). It’s a really light( but fully lined) white seersucker dress that just screams southern living! I wore this dress out and about to explore and then dressed it up with pink heels that evening for dinner! I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on it, I seriously should have just carried Rachel’s card all around town haha! It’s perfect for any occasion. I seriously LOVE her line so much and can’t wait to add a few more of her pieces to my wardrobe.
I hope y’all had the most beautiful easter weekend! He is risen y’all!
