Amanda’s Beauty Fav’s

Hey y’all!

I hope you are having a happy Wednesday.

With our clocks moving an hour ahead for Spring forward I have felt a little bit like a zombie. Anyone else feeling that way? Who knew that extra hour of sleep actually did something, it has never hit me this hard! Im seriously STILL trying to recover. It may have something to do with the fact that I am up bright & early everyday with Emory appointments but still…..7 o’clock hits and I am ready for bed hahah! Anyway I have put a list together of my fav beauty products to get me through the day. I may feel like a zombie but no way am I going to look that way!

Life is too short to have boring hair!

Ladies! Let me talk to you about hair color. Now I haven’t been doing hair for 15 years and I don’t know a lot about everything but I do know a little about a lot. When it comes to hair color my goal is to make it as close to what the client wants and still look as natural as possible.

My favorite technique right now is balayage. I’m sure you all have heard of it, since it has become extremely popular over the last year. For those of you who haven’t heard, or don’t know much, let me tell you a little about it. Balayage is a French term meaning “to sweep.” It is literally taking color and/or lightener and painting it on the hair without the use of foils. This gives so much control as to where color is placed and is also why no balayaged hair ever looks identical. The wonderful thing about  this technique is that you can make it as subtle or as dramatic as you want, yet it still turns out looking very natural and grows out beautifully with no hard lines. It is perfect for spicing up any color at any length throughout the year! If you’ve been thinking about switching up your regular hair color, I highly recommend talking to your stylist about it. You won’t regret it!

If you don’t have a regular stylist and live near Newnan, I would love to do your hair. Contact me @ pearlsandpinkpeoniesblog@gmail.com. Check out my work below!

Fiber Lash Mascara Vs. Eyelash Extensions

Eyelashes, eyelashes, eyelashes… The most important part of our makeup routine in our opinion! Eyelashes just make your eyes POP and lets be real as long as your lashes are done you are good to run your errands! We have two great options to make your eyelashes as long and full as they can possibly be!

Option 1: Fiber Lash Mascara

Fiber Lash Mascara is a great, easy way to make your natural lashes long and luscious. This mascara comes with two tubes, a gel tube & and fiber tube. The gel helps the Fibers stick to your lashes so they can get as long as you would like them. The fibers add length & volume to your natural lashes! With just four easy steps you can have the eyelashes you have always wanted! We personally LOVE this product and can’t wait to see what y’all think! We are going to take you step by step through the Fiber Lash process so y’all will be pros in no time! If you are interested in trying Fiber Lash Mascara follow this link to buy www.atlantamascaragirls.com. ENJOY!

ALWAYS DO ONE EYE AT A TIME!

Step 1: Apply a light coat of your everyday mascara to your lashes.

step 2: before your everyday mascara dries apply a coat of the Fiber Lash Gel ( long tube) from the bottom to the tip of your eyelashes.

step 3: apply Fibers ( short tube) to your lashes from the middle section of your lashes to the tips in an upward motion. ** SIDE NOTE: do not apply the fibers any lower than the middle of your lashes or the fibers will get in your eyes which is very uncomfortable!**

step 4: apply another light coat of the Fiber Lash Gel on top of the fibers to seal them in.

Option 2: Eyelashes Extensions

Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent solution to having beautiful eyelashes. They are applied individually, one false eyelash to one natural eyelash. This results in a time consuming application but after they are finished you will feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven. Eyelash extensions are similar to acrylic or gel nails, as they need to be filled every 3-4 weeks. With eyelash extensions, you don’t have to wear mascara, which is amazing in the mornings, as you’re getting ready. They are wonderful because they look extremely natural but still give you that extra length and volume. Eyelash extensions come in many different lengths and thicknesses, which makes them perfect for just about anyone who wants to try them.  I am actually certified in the application of eyelash extensions and LOVE doing them. If any of you are local and are interested in trying them out feel free to contact me at alexanicolegray@gmail.com and I will give you all a great deal!

Both of these options are a fabulous way to get the lashes you have always wanted!
