Anniversary Staycation

Hey y’all!

I hope you are having a lovely day!  Kyle & I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on October 12th and had such a fun weekend celebrating our love!

It’s so crazy to think that we have been married for 5 years, it feels like just yesterday I was not so patiently waiting for a proposal & now we are not so patiently waiting for our sweet little boy to join us! Is this real life!? Time really does fly when you are having fun 🙂 Through our years of marriage we were able to travel all over the world, start a blog, start a business & watch each others dreams come true! Typically we would have traveled somewhere for our anniversary but since I’m 34 weeks pregnant a staycation seemed more than perfect!

We spent the weekend doing all of the things we love to do together! We started our staycation with a trip to the apple orchards, it has become a beloved tradition to travel up to Ellijay and spend the day doing all of the fall things! Plus the Apple Cider donuts are a must and we couldn’t leave without a beautiful peck of apples and something sweet for the road! Then of course we had to hit up the outlets because what is life without shopping? Kyle is such a trooper and knows how to make his shopaholic wife a happy girl!

The next day we spent the morning in Atlanta and brunched our hearts out at the YUMMIEST West Egg Cafe! This will definitely be added to our anniversary tradition (plus any other time we are in Atlanta around brunch time), it was amazing! We can’t wait to go back! They are famous for their Shrimp & Grits, which Kyle had to try and it definitely did not disappoint! I have a sweet tooth and always have so the Banana Bread French Toast was a must! I will be dreaming about that french toast for the rest of forever, it had a caramel sauce that they used instead of syrup and I’m officially addicted! Not only was their food an absolute dream, the service was nothing short of perfection and they were just oh so sweet. They also have a fun Photo Booth to remember your weekend by, Kyle and I have actually never taken photos in a Photo Booth & it was so fun!  If you are local to Atlanta or visiting for the weekend make sure to make a stop at West Egg Cafe, we promise your full bellies with thank you! Thank you so much West Egg Cafe for helping us celebrate our anniversary in the sweetest way possible 🙂

On our last day of our anni staycation, I got Kyle Falcons tickets to the buccaneers VS. Falcons game and we had SO MUCH FUN! He was SO surprised and I think I got lots of browny points from that one 🙂  Kyle & his family are hardcore Falcons fans & I adopted the idea of becoming an NFL fan. The SEC is what I grew up loving but who knew the NFL would become our Sunday tradition!? Over the last 5 years football has become a fan fav in our home and Sundays, Mondays, & Thursdays are spent watching all of the games, lets just say I have learned wayyyy more about football then I ever thought possible! Mercedes Benz stadium is beautiful and honestly there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We loved our trip to the game and are officially addicted to going to live games, we are looking forward to the next game we get to go to for sure!

It was such a wonderful weekend celebrating 5 years of marriage and I just can’t wait to see what the rest of forever looks like!

***Side note, I took the cutest photos of the weekend and let me tell y’all pregnancy brain is REAL! I somehow misplaced my memory card, so these are the only photos I have from the weekend! As soon as I find it you can bet they will go up on this post! Am I the only one who has the toughest time keeping up with things while pregnant? seriously I feel like my brain is fried all the time!!! SEND HELP!!!! lol!

Anyway, I hope y’all are having a wonderful week!
